Into the Woods JR. weaves together several classic fairy tales, including Cinderella, Little Red Riding Hood, Jack and the Beanstalk, and Rapunzel. At the center of the story is a Baker and his wife, who learn that they have been cursed by a Witch and cannot have a child. To break the spell, they must venture into the woods and gather a series of magical items. Along the way, they cross paths with familiar fairy-tale characters, each pursuing their own wishes and dreams.
As the characters achieve their goals, they discover that getting what they want does not always lead to happiness. New challenges arise, forcing them to work together and face the consequences of their choices. Through humor, adventure, and memorable music, Into the Woods JR. explores themes of responsibility, community, and growing up, while reminding audiences that life is often more complicated than the happily-ever-after endings found in traditional fairy tales.
This show performs over 2 weekends. We will not be performing on Thanksgiving or the Friday following Thanksgiving. Shows will resume for the final performances on November 26 & 27.
