Student Code of Ethics
As a YATA student, I commit to:
Respecting Others
- Treat all students, directors, staff, volunteers, and audience members with kindness and respect.
- Celebrate the successes of my peers.
- Encourage others rather than compete against them.
Supporting the Entire Production
- Recognize that every role contributes to the final product.
- Support leads, ensemble members, understudies, doubles, technicians, and stage management equally.
- Be a positive audience member when I am not actively rehearsing.
Being Accountable
- Arrive prepared, on time, and ready to participate.
- Learn my material and fulfill my responsibilities.
- Take ownership of my actions and mistakes.
Protecting Our Community
- Help maintain a clean, safe, and welcoming facility.
- Treat costumes, props, sets, equipment, and rehearsal spaces with care.
- Look for ways to help rather than waiting to be asked.
Demonstrating Good Character
- Avoid gossip, bullying, exclusion, or disrespectful behavior.
- Use social media responsibly and positively.
- Represent YATA with integrity both inside and outside the studio.
